George (Rusty) P. Roberts, Jr. was a founding shareholder of RRB&T. Effective January 1, 2010, Mr. Roberts is now Of Counsel for RRB&T.
Mr. Roberts received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Mr. Roberts has been practicing law in Florida as a civil litigator since 1976.
Mr. Roberts is a member of the Florida Bar and is an AV rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court; Fifth & Eleventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal; and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. His professional affiliations include: Defense Research Institute, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Florida Municipal Attorneys Association, Florida Association of Police Attorneys, the Legal Officers Section of International Association of Chiefs of Police, and Risk and Insurance Management Society.
Mr. Roberts has served as adjunct professor in civil litigation for the Florida Atlantic University Paralegal Training Program and as a guest lecturer at municipal liability training seminars. He has also provided training programs to local police agencies.
With 35 years of litigation experience, Mr. Roberts has served as lead trial counsel in a number of high profile cases which have attracted national publicity. He has tried more than 100 cases to verdict and is known for his thorough and practical approach to litigation.
Although Mr. Roberts has tried a wide variety of cases over his professional career, the main focus of his practice includes representing governmental entities in civil rights, employment discrimination, land use litigation, and general negligence cases.
